Dosage Guidelines

Dosage Guidelines

Generally Speaking

Recommendations for individuals depend on their body weight, physical condition, and age. Therefore, the right recommendation depends on your individual need and your body’s response to CBD. Generally suggested guidelines for a healthy individual are 10-30 mg of CBD daily. However, we always recommend adjusting until you find your optimal dosage level.

Stepwise Dosing Guide for CBD

This guide is intended to offer you a starting point in choosing the dose of CBD that is right for you. Due to FDA regulations we cannot give specific advice on how to use CBD for a specific condition. Fortunately, the process of finding the minimum effective dose of CBD for any condition is quite straightforward, using a technique called Stepwise Dosing.

Stepwise Dosing is a process by which you first establish a minimum baseline dosage, and then adjust the dosage incrementally over a set period – typically 3 days. This is continued until the effective dosage is established.

It is important to recognize that everyone responds a little differently to CBD, and very likely in line with how their endocannabinoid system is already functioning. Consequently, there is no set dose for everyone or every condition. By using the Stepwise Dosing Guide, you can easily find your most effective dosage of CBD which will vary depending on different factors such as age, weight, metabolism, etc.

Stepwise Dosing

Start Low and Go Slow: The first step to finding your minimum effective dose is to establish a baseline dosage. Since many people report desirable results with CBD at low doses, we suggest you start with the least dose possible and slowly increase the dosage until you are comfortable with the results.

As a rule of thumb, start with a small baseline dosage between 10-15mg, two times or three times daily (30-45mg total).

Next: Maintain your baseline dosage for 3-7 days, taking note of how the CBD interacts with your body (see note below).

If you are not receiving the benefits you were expecting after the initial 3-7 days of taking your baseline CBD dosage, then increase the daily dosage by 5-10 mg every 3 days until you find the dosage that is most suited to you. Many of our clients have indicated to us that, while effects may be felt in as little as one dose, they find that continuous use for 2-4 weeks best helps them better determine how CBD is working for them.

Once you have determined your minimum effective dose, you may wish to decrease your dosage by one step to see if you can maintain the benefits at a slightly lower dosage.

Important Note: Typically, people decide to try CBD because of a specific condition, only to find it helps other areas of their health as well. Remember, your endocannabinoid system runs throughout the entire body at a cellular and sub-cellular level. CBD is a whole-body compound. When you start taking CBD for the first time, pay attention to everything going on in your body. Do not be surprised if you find various benefits from your dosage.

About Sleep: Often, certain conditions or side-effects from medication can create insomnia. Sleep is essential to the bodies healing and recovery process. If sleep deprivation is an issue, you may want to consider increasing your dosage slightly at night, to assist with a sounder sleep. CBD can, however, affect people differently. If you take CBD immediately prior to going to bed and find yourself starring at the ceiling instead of falling asleep, then consider taking your evening dose 1-2 hours prior to going to bed.

Establishing a Baseline Dosage Based on Weight

If you feel you may need a higher dosage, use the following chart to assist you in establishing your baseline dosage depending on your weight.

Wildflower Product FAQ

Wildflower Product FAQ

Are Wildflower products made in the USA?

Yes, all Wildflower products are manufactured in our state-of-the-art production GMP facility located in Bellingham, Washington.

Where is Wildflower’s CBD sourced from?

Wildflower products are formulated from hemp-derived CBD. We work with European partners to source the best-available hemp plants from responsible cultivators. The hemp plants are grown on clean European soil, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides.

The imported plants are processed using CO2 extraction in Colorado, Kentucky and Massachusetts. The extracted CBD oil is then used to manufacture Wildflower products at our GMP facility in Bellingham, Washington.

How do you extract your CBD?

We use CO2 Supercritical Extraction, commonly referred to as CO2 oil.

Fluid Extraction is one of the most effective ways of reducing cannabis to its essential compounds. The extracts are made using botanical extractors that use immense pressure and carbon dioxide to separate the oil from the plant material. The carbon dioxide (CO2) then becomes a state of matter similar to both a liquid and gas. When cannabis is exposed to CO2 in this state, active components can be extracted, like THC, CBD, and terpenes.

Supercritical extraction provides for the clearest of oil, free of additives, impurities and residual solvents.

Are your products lab tested?

All of our products are third-party lab tested using ISO 17025 testing facilities, before and after extraction, and in batches of final products to ensure the highest concentration and purest CBD extract available.

At Wildflower, the safety and effectiveness of our products is our topmost priority, which is why testing occurs at all stages, including:

  • soil testing during cultivation
  • heavy metal testing, microbial and pesticide testing for harvested hemp plants
  • residual solvent, microbial, mycotoxin and cannabinoid profile testing after extraction
  • batch testing of cannabinoid profile for final products

What is winterization?

Winterization is the process by which unwanted substances like waxes, fats, and lipids are stripped from the end product.

How do I store the CBD Capsules and other Wildflower products?

Wildflower CBD Capsules are best stored in a cool, dark place to preserve freshness. Avoid placing any Wildflower products near heat, direct sunlight, or the freezer.

Are Wildflower vaporizers different from other CBD vape pens?

Wildflower vaporizers utilize industry-leading patented technology to provide the safest and smoothest experience. Traditional combustion methods burn the oil blends, which produces harmful particles and reduces effectiveness. Our vaporizers use built-in microprocessors and ceramic heating coils for consistent no-burn vaporization. Our formulations are heated to the lowest temperature (275–300℉) needed to evaporate and release the active ingredients.
