What We Love: Plant Therapy Thyme ct Linalool is great in a diffuser for an immune boost. It also adds germ-fighting capability to skincare blends. We especially like it blended with Tea Tree and Clear Complex carrier for blemish fighting blends.
Thyme ct linalool, which is known as Sweet Thyme is gentler on the skin than other Thyme chemotypes, such as Thyme Thymol. While this oil is not as well known as many, it is versatile and when properly diluted (up to 4.5% or 27 drops per ounce of carrier), it is safe to use on the skin. Because it is gentle, Thyme linalool makes a great component in facial toners and cleansers. It also has germ-fighting capabilities, so it may help soothe problem skin without causing irritation. The woody and herbaceous aroma of Thyme Linalool is often used in a diffuser to aid in respiration and digestion or to help keep seasonal illness away. It may also help with an immune system boost after illness or antibiotic treatment.
Dilute Thyme linalool with a carrier oil of your choice to a maximum of 4.5% for topical use. To help with digestion, add one drop to a teaspoon of carrier oil rub gently in a clockwise motion on the abdomen. To support the immune system, diffuse Thyme linalool with other herbaceous scents such as Marjoram or Rosemary.
